Garden

This is our garden. Lots of healthy vegetables out there. Soil improved with lots of cow chips, composted wood and leaves. Really fertile.

This view shows our Bantam Sweet Corn. Small ears but very sweet; like eating sugar.

If you live in East Texas you have to grow Sweet Potatoes. Great for baking or pies.

Here we prepared Green Beans and Steak Medallions with Kale and Cheese. Bake at 350 deg F for about an hour. Oooh good!

Can't have a garden without a few Tomatoes. These are headed for soup and pasta making.

Sweet and crunchy Carrots. Have to have them for stew and soups.

Beets are great for salad; they add color and flavor.

Fresh Pinto Beans. Much better than dried; tender and full of flavor. Add fresh Onion, Salt and Pepper, a Ham bone and a slab of Cornbread. Wow!
