Moolies

We have cows at Jubilee which we call Moolies. All of our Moolies are Polled Herfords, meaning no horns, white face, red bodies. They are friendly, keep the pasture mowed and provide an agriculture exemption on property taxes. They make a really pretty setting when we look out from our front porch over green pasture, tall Pine Trees and a herd of Moolies.

One of my favorite photos is of me with my Bull named Golly. He is as gentle as a lamb. Moves slow. Never in a hurry to get somewhere. He is very popular with the lady Moolies because varmints won't come near.

The Moolies are quite friendly, mainly because they get handouts. If you go out in the pasture with them you have to be careful that they don't come up and lick you thinking that you might taste good. I lost a pair of green hiking shorts that way.
